Why are you putting words in people's mouths? Show me the part where all these Houstonians, aside from a few C-D city-nerds a long time ago in this thread, were supposedly declaring their undying, burning need to be bigger than Chicago? This is City-Data. Lots of people with "specialized" interests flock to these forums. In the real world, most Houstonians could really give a rat's *** if Houston is some day bigger than, smaller than, or the same size as Chicago. Give me a break.

If the thread/topic bugs you so much, then don't click on it and read the posts. Simple as that.
