Generally speaking, which of these two areas is worse from a tax standpoint, specifically from a state income and a tax perspective?

As far as property taxes, California is a downright bargain compared to NJ.

I know this from personal experience.

Property Taxes = California wins

Income Taxes = New Jersey wins

Personally, I would rather have higher income taxes than higher property taxes.
