I picked Baltimore. I don't think of it as a second city to DC, though. It's got its own thing going on. Its own history, architecture, food -- its own accent even.

Baltimore is no 2nd city. Milwaukee seems too far to be a 2nd city.

Fort Worth.

Warm climate, active downtown, lots to see and do, best barbecue in the Metroplex, up and coming city, relatively safe and stable, and most of all right next to Dallas.

Had it not been for the weather then Milwaukee would have been my choice. Real underrated and beautiful city and close to where most of my developmental memories were in Walworth, beautiful days on Geneva, horseback riding, and just a very relaxed and peaceful life.

Since when is Milwaukee a second city?

Even with the bloated CSA's it is still not in with Chicago.

It's pretty close...when you can meet a friend there for lunch. The suburbs touch, and if you drive along Lake Michigan, it's continuous development between the two cities.
