Cities like Atlanta and Dallas often win polls just because of their sheer size

If these underdog cities where just as big, which would give Atlanta and Dallas a run for their money

Raleigh

Memphis

Jacksonville

Nashville

New Orleans

Austin

Because let's face it eventually all these cities may reach a population of 6 mil

Which would be most exciting
Which would be have the best malls/shopping
Which would have all 4 sports team
Which would have the best mass transit

1. New Orleans
2. Nashville

Both would blow Atl and Dfw out the water.

3. Raleigh
4. Memphis
5. Austin

Would be on par with ATL and DFW as regional hubs.

6. Jacksonville

I can't imagine Jack being that big

New Orleans with a Population of 6 million would be Awesome! It'll have a bigger skyline more malls ,all 4 sports teams and a even more legendary party scene

Jacksonville with a Metro of 6 million would probably be Miami North

Austin at that size would be another houston

Memphis at that size would probably finally realize its potential and would be more international

Nashville at 6 million would be Queen of the South

Raleigh at that size would finally have some nightlife and be more urban

I love Charlotte, but every poll doesn't need to have Charlotte on it. We know where the city stands.

It doesn't make sense to list all of the large southern cities and not Charlotte, though. Especially when he's putting it up against Atlanta.

New Orleans metro is barely bigger than Birmingham and plus it has hurricanes to deal with Austin is a Texas shrimp compared to DFW Houston and San Antonio

Charlotte is Second Biggest in the South lets give other cities a chance

And besides Charlotte at 6 million is another Atlanta probably with better mass transit

Bigger is not always better. I think some of those cities would be ruined by being in metros that large. Austin for one would have crippling traffic. It already has some of the worst in the country
