Biggest negative for Chicago is the weather.
Biggest negative for LA is affordability, overpopulation

Hard to choose. Ideally I would take a condo for the summer months in Chicago and a house near the beach in LA.

Why bother?

Californians are going to be forced to defend LA yet again, while everyone else picks Chicago cause they feel its more important due to stock exchanges.

And we all know stock exchanges are the ultimate factor in deciding a place to live.

I thought I did a poll similar to this before but my searches turned up fruitless.

Let's talk about freeways vs. commuter rail/'L', buses, and tollways/expressways. Who has the better (looking, less congested, etc.) Union Station? How about the lakeshore vs. the seashore. Or who has better designed (individual) skyscrapers instead of the skyline in general.

I didn't know L.A. had oil until I was researching why Oxy H.Q. is in L.A. instead of Houston.

About those stock exchanges, would you rather smell the money or be homeless and smell the L.A. air?
