I feel Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming deserve their own options in this poll.

Personally I'm going with California. Mountains in California are truly breathtaking.

Replace Texas with New Mexico, we got a lot more mountains all over the state. West Texas just has a few ranges and they are not as impressive.

We were taught in elementary geography that Colorado is 1/3 high desert plateaus, 1/3 mountains, 1/3 high plains.

I wish i knew how to post my own pictures from my phone. I think California's Inland Empire deserves an honorable mention. The three tallest peaks in Socal are within a 30 mile radius. You got Mt. Jacinto, Mt. Gorgorndo and Mt. Baldy all over 10,000+

In central places like Rancho Cucamonga, you can see all three peaks in a 360' degree view. From all three peaks, you can see the desert behind the San Andreas Fault, And infront you see the ocean. On a very clear day you can see the Los Angeles skyline and San Diego at the same time.
