Both of these cities were settled as French trading posts in the 1700's, and were part of the Louisiana Purchase. So which city historically or currently has a stronger French influence?
I'm pretty sure St. Louis was only a fort under French rule so it never really was a "french city". New Orleans was by and large the only city during French rule of Louisiana.

Baton Rouge was sizeable and under French rule for about 100 years.
