Obvious Lubbock and here is why. It's in northern Texas know for its vast geographical beauty of flat shapeless desert. Lubbock is known for having oil, yea new York doesn't have any oil. Lubbock was all selected 12th small city to start a business by CNN. Yea that's right new York Lubbock is so much better than you?

Just Lubbock proper... We want New York to have a chance.

Lubbock Metro can take on all of California(or possibly Canada).

Lubbock doesn't even have a downtown, it's just like another piece of suburbia. Lubbock might compete with NYC's nightlife if you like country music and drive in theaters.

It's not advisable to talk about things you know nothing about. Lubbock does in fact have a downtown.

Except not the end. Depending on how you interpret it, Lubbock takes the 'people' category handily. Lubbockites are some of the most genuinely friendly, happy, and laid-back people you will ever meet. I've visited both places multiple times and much prefer the people in Lubbock.
