NYC is made up of 5 cities itself Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, Bronx and every part can holds its own, compare Brooklyn to Philly. Brooklyn kills philly better food, night life, and most of all better women. Infact that is what makes New York City great the women, their the most self motivated women in the world and their tough as the steel that was made to build the Brooklyn Bridge and New York Girls will beat those country looking Philly women up anyday. Its not even close.
Thats how great NYC really is.

Dude, Philly crushes Brooklyn as a stand-alone city. It is the hub of a metro of nearly 7 million people, with the amenities and industries to match. Brooklyn in contrast, has a minus next to its daytime population, and almost certainly has fewer total jobs than Philly, despite having 1.1 million more residents. Now compare Boston to Queens, or The Bronx to San Francisco. Bloodbath.

There's only one borough that can stand on its own, and that's Manhattan.
