No comparison! Philly alone destroys any west coast cities on the list. Then you got NY. If LA and SF were on the list, still, Philly would knock them off. Philly is "A" city to go along with NY. No way and no how.

The Californian cities listed have no significant and vibrant downtowns like NY and Philly do, let alone Boston/Boston with no uniqueness, no good transportation and nightlife.
