No, it's not Atlanta. Both the DC and Houston areas have higher HBCU enrollments.

Stats were posted earlier in this thread. Regions like DC, Baltimore, Houston, and the NC Triad (Greensboro/Winston-Salem) all have higher HBCU populations--even Tallahassee with just FAMU, which is the largest HBCU. Atlanta has the largest concentration of HBCUs, but none of the schools are particularly large.

North Carolina(11) and Alabama (9) has the most HBCUs.

Houston's two HBCU rank in the top 10 for highest HBCU enrollment. However, the pride and culture at these schools don't compare to HBCUs like Spelman, Clark and Morehouse.

Spelman = Morehouse > Prairie View = Clark > Texas Southern = Morris Brown
