Considering the severe lack of rain and drought, Californians probably should be bragging about the weather too much. I've never seen it this dry this late into the rainy season in Northern CA.
Not sure why people are taking shots at the East Coast weather this week... Might want to check your own weather. It will be colder in Atlanta Monday than NYC... Supposed to be 5 degrees in Atlanta with -15 wind chill.. and 8 in NYC.

He probably meant Northeast. I also think the overall point was this week it is supposed to be colder than normal in many parts of the country.
Yes, I do realize what the intent probably was. I was just attempting to clarify things ... as I imagine that people in Georgia are as irritated when someone says "East Coast" but means only New England, as people in the PNW are when people on the East Coast refer to the "West Coast" and are speaking only of Southern California.
And yes, I understand that the bad weather is being spread around. Up here in the home of the "nine months of rain" winters, it's 42 and sunny.

Exactly. This thread has been focusing so much on Northeastern winters, those in the Southeast are probably scratching their heads because it's a whole different ballgame down there, especially in South Florida.
There are only seven cities in this country that I find interesting - four are in the NE/EC and two are in the WC. So, to me EC>WC even though I live in the WC right now.
