Always thought SF and Seattle were among the country's most intellectual regions. Only other cities that compare are D.C. and Boston.

West coast people seem to be more relaxed, almost like they're high all the time.
Almost?!

WE don't make generalizations and think everybody is the same based on what one guy said. Unlike some people, most of us aren't that stupid.

Well now that you mention it, those people in the northern part of the coast are more odor free because they don't sweat as much due to the colder climate you keep on mentioning.

In general I've found despite attempts to pigeonhole entire regions of the country as being one way or a different way, you have basically the same ratio of a**holes to nice people in most places. All that varies is how loud they are... Give people liquor though and it all evens out.

I know, it's not right to use one person as an example, but I'm just speaking from experience. West coast people seem to be more relaxed, almost like they're high all the time. East coast people seem more intellectual, witty, fast paced and sharp minded. If they say something, they really mean it. And they're not afraid to be blatant and frank about things, especially in the Northeast. The Southeast is more subdued, however.
So basically what you are REALLY saying is that you have found your aunt's husband to be far less intellectual and too slow, NOT west coast people in general, right? I'm only asking because you admitted to using just one example.

Would this be based on experiences in here or outside this forum? Because based on personal experiences in this place I have felt that the SF area attracts the largest quantity of Homers here. It's almost like something about this forum that attracts the worst of that place.

Nah, that's definitely Philadelphia.

As for best educated areas, on this list, San Francisco is #7.

Except that the worst of the "homers from Philly" several months ago were actually from the Bay area.
