Just a though, but I feel as if we put too much on these polls. I've seen many times on other websites a city get blow away by a city that never would have stood a chance on C-D. I know it's all about getting opinions and that's what this forum is for, but what do you think?

Most people on this site are into urban living/lifestyle. The more urban the better. Polls only tell half the story.

The OP left themselves wide open for that one.

This subforum is basically just boosters explaining why they live in their city thus its superiority over other cities. Very few actually spend time on other cities and are primarily either boosting or defending their own.

The amount of actual knowledge and unbiased people on this site must be about 9.

We might as well be on a forum talking about our kids.

I will take your poll seriously. I voted "yes" because I think many people do. Some just take the opportunity to bash cities they do not like and boost those they do without giving any kind of statistics or link to their statements about those cities. So if anyone is looking for really accurate information about various cities they are not always going to find it in these posts.

When people substitute opinion for fact and don't indicate that is what they are doing, they are purposely being misleading and that is why people looking for accurate information about cities should not always take the polls and advice of others seriously.

Of course the most inaccurate of responses come from those who have never lived or even visited the cities about which they give advice but instead just parrot bogus information taken from unverified sources. They just parrot what they hear recommending the same cities over and over again regardless of the relocater's criteria. We've all seen examples of that.

I preferred this subforum when there were more NYC regulars to offer some real perspective to things. But they seem to have moved on for the most part, leaving everyone else to wrangle among themselves. lol. All the important comparisons have been covered thoroughly.

Nowadays, it's largely gotten emotional and sentimental, which is not that useful. Every forum has its shelf life.
