What kind of projects are going on in the Twin Cities? Can they compare to the cities I listed?

Which projects are you talking about?

A lot of cities are catching up after the recession, so not sure if SF stands out, but SF has a lot going on.

About 20+ new high-rises over 300 ft and the new Transbay Terminal (i.e., our future Penn Station). Among the high-rises, 2 will be the tallest in the city. The skyline will probably grow by 1/4 by 2017 or so

Also huge (but still only planned) redevelopments of large areas, including Mission Bay, Hunter's Point, Treasure Island, and the Merced Area.

A new arena as well, near the new high-rises

I think the master plan is pretty conceptual at this point so there are no definite plans for the towers. I would imagine around 400 feet though.

Kind of hard for me to believe SF's skyline will grow by 1/4 by 2017...it's already big as it is...

Here are some images showing what the Boston skyline might look like in a couple of years if all the projects proceed as scheduled....

Oh I thought he/she was talking about the Union Station tower (I think there are a couple in the rendering).

Wilshire Grand has a boosted height because of its sail / spire. The tower itself is a little shorter than the US Bank Tower, but the spire puts it over the top.

What about some of the other cities like Philly and San Fran? Anybody know anything about them?

You should visit D.C. again. I think you would be surprised how much it has changed. As for major projects:
