I've got next week off (oct 13-20) and wanted to go somewhere I haven't been to that isn't too far away driving wise. I've narrowed it down to these 2. I'm a 26 year old man driving from western new york and I'm wondering what place you think would be better overall? Also if you know any freeways to avoid or go on let me know. I obviously prefer more peaceful freeways with as little traffic as possible.

Do you want to go to the beach or see leaves change colors? It pretty much comes down to that. Plus, Pigeon Forge is pretty family-oriented ... are you a Dolly Parton fan?

Myrtle Beach is going to be practically deserted this time of year. Charleston will have fun stuff going on.
