None of the above. LA would be the only option for me.

All of the above look nice to me, but I'm going with New York!

I guess if you are that close minded of an individual to dismiss those other cities like that. Pathetic.

No. Harvard and MIT are in Cambridge, which is not a suburb at all but a good size adjacent city and Harvard also has a bunch of their campus (and expanding) on the Boston side of the river (Harvard Business School area). Not at all like a suburb. Tufts is in Somerville and while more suburban, not a true suburb, it is also a city, actually the most densely populated city in the Northeast. Bentley, Brandeis, etc could be considered suburbs.

Philadelphia, specifically UPenn. Unlike colleges in NYC, there's actually a cohesive campus with green space. Plus, you're right across the river from Center City. You get the best of both worlds. Cost of living is also cheaper in Philly than New York, Boston, SF, and Chicago. Plus, there's tons of BYOs. You can also take day trips to NYC very easily.

Well, maybe colleges in Manhattan lack a campus feel and green space within the center of the college. But the outer boroughs have beautiful colleges with a lot of green space - Staten Island's Wagner College, Staten Island and Queens' St. John's University, the Bronx's Fordham University and Manhattan College, etc. These are all outside of the busiest, densest, most concrete and tall building hub of NYC - Manhattan, like how you mentioned schools across from Center City, Philadelphia. I agree with the cost of living comment, though, but at the same time most college students get housing and a meal plan with their overall tuition bill.
