To be fair, you are. Youre stereotyping the entire Atlanta area based on something you have no first hand knowledge of. Its not my job to defend Atlanta as I dont live there, but you dont seem to have a clue about the reality of the city. There are pockets of crime like any city and there are areas of the city that are virtually crime free. There are areas where hip-hop culture is strong and there are areas of Atlanta where no hip-hop culture exists.
I cannot stand it when people use stereotypes as a way of thinking they know a city.
But im not stereo typing. Im going on what residents have told me and what ive read. Im going on facts that atlanta is one of most dangerous cities in usa

I've got an idea - let's stop talking about Atlanta since it didn't even meet your short list criteria.
As a black person who doesn't listen to Hip-Hop, who has visited Atlanta multiple times, who doesn't know what the hell you're talking about I'l say this:
Want no black people? Move to South Dakota or North Dakota.

Maybe the OP just prefers a city with a lower crime rate.
Also, a question, what makes you think everyone here is hip-hop and ghetto? There are multiple classical music orchestras here. No one's going to FORCE you to listen to ANYTHING.

Right. Sorry, this stuff is just insane..I mean, Elton John has a penthouse here because he quote "John likes the vitality and energy of the city: The music scene is good, and the southern charm means locals are too polite to pester him" And Atlanta is ghetto and hip-hop? Get out of here.

Please. I didn't even bring up Atlanta - and it wasn't in the running for the OP when this thread was started.
That being said, I have lived in both areas, so I do speak from experience rather than simply conjecture. I would like for anyone on this thread to point out something I've said about Atlanta that was erroneous.
By the way, I personally LIKE Atlanta. I don't recall slamming it in any way on this thread, or any other.

Maybe not you per se, but you have the same agenda, verbally or not. Here ya go again, where is Atlanta, Dallas and Houston are neck in neck.

Yeah, no, not really. What an absurd post.
I wonder why Atlanta should be on it, it has a population of what 400,000? Basically 1/3 of Dallas' total, which correlates in raw numbers that the larger city will have more murders, typically. Duhh.
If you want to get into semantics, the city of Atlanta (population 400,000) had 88 murders, Dallas had 133 (for a city with 1.2 million). Doesn't take a math wiz to tell you that if Atlanta were the same population as Dallas, Atlanta would have 264 murders. Further more, Metropolitan Atlanta's murder total was 319 (population 5.3 millon) and Metropolitan Dallas' was 294 (population 6.5 million). So what happened? How does a place with 1.2 million less people have more raw murders than a larger metropolitan?
And the murder rates for metropolitan areas has Atlanta at 6/100,000 and Dallas at 4.5/100,000.
Just so we're on the same page, the higher number means a higher murder rate.
