Some of those cities you say are more vibrant or energetic than Houston I disagree with. Memphis or Nashville? No. Especially Memphis. I don't necessarily disagree with you on where Houston is on vibrancy. It's improving but it's not where I'd like it to be either. That goes back to the leaders and they have been called out lately about aspects of the city. But this is about Boston, Seattle, and Houston. Not the entire United States.

See, you clearly aren't paying attention in this debate. Talking of so-called sub-par modern architecture in Houston, then showing buildings in Chicago that look exactly the same. You are clueless.

To me it does lack culture and pride. Maybe not necessarily vibrancy, it resembles the big city hustle and bustle. That's why I moved to San Antonio though. More laid back, more culture.

That looks exactly the same? Are you blind?!

Also is that building even built yet? Some of you Houston boosters are delusional. You really think Houston is at the forefront of modern architecture? Get a clue.

Nope, my eyes are fine. You, on the other hand, seem to have forgotten the bifocals.

It was, and still presents its own form to this day: bold, powerful, and commanding, like an energy metropolis.

Oh the ones I provided were just samples, as there are so many more in Chicago. Here are some under construction right now. That right UNDER CONSTRUCTION, not proposed maybe buildings as you have shown. Chicago has way more modern and more contemporary designs. So far you have only been able to argue against A COUPLE of buildings. Where is Houston's version of Millenium Park? or Marina City? or River City?

Currently under construction (these are just a few out of 44 high rises currently being built) in Chicago:
