They aren't bad, just lower middle class. I'm thinking around Beverlywood and other areas south of Olympic. But this is what they look like:

http://goo.gl/maps/UyJMZ
http://goo.gl/maps/CW59t (Looking towards BH)

But yeah, not so bad. The closest working-class neighborhoods are all the way to the southeast in Mid-City and around Cadillac / Robertson.

Other than that, Slums of Beverly Hills can be found in your locally closed Hollywood Video.

Listen up guy. Beverly hills doesn't really have many distinct neighborhoods per se'. It's one big little neighborhood. It's been some years since I've lived in Glendale. Glendale isn't exactly Beverly hills. Beverly hills touches a lot of famous streets like Rodeo drive. I couldn't give you specific names. However, I recall more than a few sketchy streets in Beverly hills. Certainly not like anything you would find on the east side. But sketchy nonetheless. How you can deny that they have virtually no sketchy areas is beyond me. Have you ever been there? Or are you just guessing. There are a ton of burglaries and other assorted crimes in Beverly hills. As a whole it's a safe area, but for property owners, they better install a good house alarm.

It's not even lower middle-class. You have to have MONEY to live in any part of Beverly Hills. Those "lower-middle class" homes/Apts are filled with Persian, Jewish, and Anglo Doctors, Lawyers & Business Men/Women. I guess they are "lower-middle class" for BH but not for the rest of LA. If rents cost $1,500+ for an apt, then it isn't a bad neighborhood at all.

I'll admit, those weren't the best examples. I didn't provide them examples. No doubt Beverly hills is a nice/ affluent area. But they do have some sketchy areas. I've seen them numerous times with my own eyes. But if I have to be completely honest, many of them bordered other areas of LA so that could be why. Beverly hills isn't that big. They shouldn't have a lot of bad areas. But the reality is, they do have some.

Those are the worst areas in Beverly Hills. It's not a very big city. A little over 5 square miles. Nothing north of Santa Monica Blvd is even middle-class. That leaves about 2.5 square miles, of which the lowest it gets is lower-middle class / high-end apartment dwellers.

You listen up....I grew up here in Mid-City, Los Angeles. I'm not gonna have some dude who lived in Glendale years ago tell me about my city. That fact that you even said "Glendale isn't exactly Beverly Hills" tells me a lot about how much you know; 'Cause no **** Glendale isn't Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills sketchy neighborhoods? HAHAHAHA. Beverly Hills is filled with rich and old people...There aren't even housing projects anywhere near Beverly Hills. Those fringe areas of BH are all adjacent to Middle to Upper Class Neighborhoods. There are NO Lower class LA neighborhoods adjacent to Beverly Hills.

I agree, I was just picking out the worst looking parts of Beverly Hills. I agree they are pretty solidly middle class (of course for CA that means upper-class elsewhere). No matter what you call them, they certainly are not slums, or bad neighborhoods.

I never said otherwise. All I ever said was that even Beverly hills has slums. Then I retracted that and said you wouldn't exactly call them slums. But I've seen streets that weren't nice with my own eyes. Might not be many, but they are there. Beverly hills also runs into some slightly sketchy areas. Almost every area of the world has some bad with the good.

I don't know why we are making this about Beverly Hills anyway. This is about NYC vs LA. Not one neighborhood all by itself vs whatever.

This is what you Cali people want, because NYC is winning this by a landslide. And this is just a way to deflect all of the ignorant statements made by some regarding how important Hollywood/ Beverly hills/
etc are compared to places like Brooklyn.

Let's get back on topic.

You listen up. I don't care how much you whine and cry. BH has some undesirable neighborhoods. They might be adjacent to other areas, but they are there. So go whine to someone else about how perfect your little smog filled paradise is. I never said sh t about Glendale being anything remotely like BH, so I don't even know what your yapping about. Oh, so everything isn't uber rich in BH. Gee, you can admit that? I'm surprised. And like I didn't already know that!

Hmm, 35-7, I guess when one city gets five times as many votes. That says it right there. Will NYC get to fifty before LA gets to 10? That's the real question at this point.

Hey, your little boy wonder is the one comparing a city of 34000 to a borough of almost three million. That's almost 100 times as many people. I don't see you arguing his asinine crap he's spewing. Why because a lot of you Californian's think that your city is paved in gold. The truth is, Southern California doesn't even resemble anything in the United States. It looks more like Mexico to me.
