Pretty much every skyline I've ever seen has been a hodgepodge of different styles which is ultimately boring to me. Is there any city with an impressive and cohesive skylines with preferably NO radical outliers whatsoever?
I'm thinking the kind of cohesion you might see in a scifi movie where the cities of an alien or advanced race are almost always depicted as having a flowing and cohesive architecture.

It depends on your definition of cohesion....IMHO..Pittsburgh fits the bill....the buildings may vary, but the Golden Triangle is so dense with towers that it all blends together well, at least for me.
Albany and Sao Paolo (though Sao Paolo certainly doesn't have a very pretty style to it). It's a bit like looking for what Santa Fe and the city proper of Paris have, but with skyscrapers cut from the same architectural cloth.
Location: Like 2 hours away from New York City... In a rural area.

You could try Singapore. The buildings are kind of weird, but they are all the same amount of weird (if you know what I mean). Anyway, I think it blends together pretty well. Either way, it looks nice. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...anorama_v2.jpg
