Miami is ~60% Hispanic White. It is absolutely true. Being diverse does not mean not being non-Hispanic White.
Racially, you can say DFW is more diverse. Ethnically, Miami pretty much beats every city in the South including Houston. Miami has a more diverse Hispanic population, a more diverse Black population, and a more diverse European population.

I would actually like to see the dataset behind this. I've been planning a move and have had trouble finding metro states for specific ethnicities (since, really, "Asian-American" means nothing to me).
How is Miami not last in Economy and International economy?
Miami's economy is nowhere near the power of Atlanta.Atlanta has a ridiculous amount of international companies North American headquarters and not to mention U.S. based headquarters
Also how is Miami ahead of Dallas and Houston in Transportation? Dallas Airport is much busier than Miami's or Houston's,plus its a huge trucking center.Houston has a huge port.
I actually signed up just to reply to this message. You say Miami metros economy is nowhere near the power of Atlanta's but i'm not sure my which metric you are talking about. Miami's GDP was 299 billion in 2014 and Atlanta's was 324 billion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...n_areas_by_GDP
I hardly consider that "nowhere near the power of atlanta's". Also that doesn't even take into account all the wealthy retirees and international people and tourists whose money doesn't even factor into the GDP. This plus many other factors including density and brand image i would say Atlanta is nowhere near the power of Miami. I have lived in both cities and Atlanta doesn't even come close to the amount of wealth floating around Miami's metro, especially when you factor in the people who do not count toward the GDP since they have huge savings accounts or are tourists with vast wealth. It really doesn't compare.
And to the point about airports.. The Miami area has 3 large airports that if you were to add them up they would surpass both Houston and Dallas. Atlanta's airport sees so much traffic because it is in a good spot to receive traffic, not because people are flying to goto the Atlanta metro. They're just passing through..

The O&D numbers for Atlanta run around 35 million passengers annually.

Try again.
Oh yea? Where did you get that information? This thread has numorous pages and people saying how low the Atlanta metro is ranked and how high The Miami metro is in O & D Stats.

Houston perhaps. Dallas, I'm not seeing. Did you add DFW and DAL?

Oh, how fun! Another Miamian threatened by Atlanta.
I refuse to get in a pissing match with you. Prove that Atlanta's O&D isn't in the mid-30 million range. You can't.
How am i threatened by Atlanta? I think both Atlanta and Miami are amazing and have family in both. I just posted a list of all the numbers and i linked a thread on this very website with over 27 pages of people saying the same thing. Just because Atlanta has a certain number of O&D stats doesn't even matter. Its how Atlanta compares to the other cities in the U.S. and in this cause to Miami. Like i said before its not even close.

No, you made this ridiculous claim: "Atlanta's airport sees so much traffic because it is in a good spot to receive traffic, not because people are flying to go to the Atlanta metro. They're just passing through..."
Pure BS. Now, again - Atlanta's annual O&D numbers are around 35 million a year. Period.
It is on you to prove that number wrong. And yet again, you can't.
The population has nothing to do with sophistication. New Orleans, DC, Charleston, Baltimore, and Savannah are the grand dames of sophistication. Imitation is the greatest form of what? One of this city invented jazz, diverse culture and a unique cuisine and the first opera house in America, Charleston, and Savannah has unique culture and grace, Baltimore, and DC for its unique spirit and national culture. As you talk about the other large cities on this blog, I can trace where they got lots of their culture and sophistication from and it was from the five aforementioned cities
I like Baltimore, I really do, but "sophisticated" is not among the first adjectives to come to mind when describing it.
