A lot of people that visit Charleston from out of town didn't realize it's a foodie town. So yeah, it's a big foodie town.

You can also check out the Charleston forum for specific ideas, especially when it comes to kids activities.

But that would depend on the time of year wouldn't it? From late March to Early May and in the Fall, Charelston is rather warm and mild. Both SD and Charleston are beautiful border the ocean having a nice beach scene though SD includes a backdrop of mountains in it's panaorama. I guess the question is do your prefer a big bustling city that promises a lot of fun in the sun, or something smaller quieter full of history and southern charm?
