Doubt it. Plus, after NYC, Boston, Chicago, the next largest parades aren't really that large, comparatively.
No it does, it's the second largest parade in the USA. It's 3 hours long and attracted nearly 300,000 downtown this year. Believe it or not, Boston isn't the only city in the USA with a lot of Irish people.

I don't believe for a second that 300,000 is the second largest parade gathering. Boston probably has more Irish people than Pittsburgh has total people.
Boston began the parade in 1737, the oldest Paddy's parade in the USA.
Cleveland has over 500,000 at theirs, so I already know 300,000 isn't the second best. Savannah also has more. Holyoke Mass has more than Pittsburgh too. I mean, you're way off. Not knocking Pittsburgh, but your claims just aren't true.
I heard great things about Savannah as well for the big day! Went this year! Stayed in the Hyatt Regency right on the river and Bay Street. Weather straight up sucked!!!! Cold and Rainy! Not to many people this year for it! And it is said to draw 300,000. Not 1 million! That just would not work in that small of an area! Perhaps they meant for the whole duration of the events for that number!
Boston is the capital of Irish-American everything. There is more than just the parade. St. Patrick's Day is like a whole week or two.

LOL well if the organizers of the Pittsburgh Parade say the Pittsburgh parade is the 2nd largest it must be true.
Cleveland is bigger than you guys
You really think Boston's parade is smaller than yours? WHy does it seem like Pittsburghers always have such a massive ego? You're just wrong.
Boston was #1 on that list genius. One reference! Wow it must be true! Classic ignorant post from a Boston booster. Didn't brother to read any articles just making claims that benefit your side.
Measuring parade size by number of spectators relative to a city’s population, Savannah would be home to the largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the U.S., with 750,000 estimated attendees.
