No. those stats are from 2012, for the city and county of San Francisco. Take a closer look at that screen shot. It says "San Francisco County" at the top.

I saw a screenshot from San Francisco County, and one from the metro.

The greater metro area is more white than the city of San Francisco 41.8 vs. 42.3%

Where are you getting 48% from?

And why are we talking about demographics? What does it have to do with either being iconic or cultural? Fine, SF is "far more white" What does that have to do with its status as an icon or being cultural? Tokyo is 99% Japanese. Is it less iconic now? (not merely directed at you, but at everyone)

from the links that I posted that people are apparently too lazy to look at vs. screenshots. None of the screenshots had actual city, just county

Can we all just agree that that one guy / girl has no clue what he / she is talking about and stop responding to him / her. I thought it was just with SF, but then I saw his / her posts in some other threads.
