I’m looking for more cities to add onto my list of affluent cities to possibly move to with nice restaurants, exotic car watching, activities, and good weather for most of the year.

So far I've thought of Henderson, NV and Plano, TX, but I’m not quite sure they are the same.

Scottsdale and Newport Beach have different vibes, IMO. They're both affluent and sunny but that's about it.

I believe I read that Newport is the richest city in the country. It's very crowded with tourists most days out of the year. Not quite comparable to Scottsdale... I'd link Newport more to Aspen. Scottsdale isn't much different than any other wealthy city in South Orange County.

Some parts of Scottsdale reminded me of wealthy areas in Florida, kind of like Sarasota but totally different landscapes.

There are definite differences but also many similarities. They have similar politics and some of the same upscale restaurants. Obvious difference is Newport Beach is coastal and Scottsdale is desert. In that regard Scottsdale would seem more similar to Palm Springs.

Miami Beach or West Palm Beach for exotic car watching and nice restaurants.
