Outside of NYC and D.F. which cities would you consider the most urban on the continent? How you define Urban is obviously subjective, but built environment, density, vibrancy both day and night are some factors to consider.

Every city in North America is up for discussion, not only the US and Canada

San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia for sure, the other 5 spots could go to like 10 cities.

Still not sure how to arrange them myself, but the 10 that come to mind are:

- SF
- Toronto
- Boston
- Chicago
- LA
- Philly
- Panama City
- Monterrey
- Santo Domingo
- Guadalajara

That leaves out alot of great contenders like San Juan, Havana, Kingston, Seattle, DC, Montreal. Pretty tough to narrow it down!

This is a good list. I dont know if Id rank Monterrey above Montreal tho, but other than that, pretty solid imo.

I don't know after Montreal but anyone suggesting the 2 Mexican cities, the Dominican city, or the Panamanian city is not in the 10 is delusional IMO.
Great list

Yeah it does seem inherently sinful to leave out Havana, DC and Montreal in any list that speaks to urbanity!!... How about (don't know as much about San Juan and Kingston as I'd like mind you).. you could always just do a top 15 and call it a day

Are you suggesting that this is more urban than this!!!???

As for Panama City and Santo Domingo, I feel like if you were to include them, you'd also have to include Miami and Vancouver...

Sorry but Panama City especiallly blows away Vancouver and Miami when it comes to vibrancy. Miami is vibrant at night somewhat on an equal level as PC, but PC is on another level than Vancouver.
