I never heard anyone refer to Beverly Hills as the Buckhead of California. As far as urban its Beverly Hills all the way. Not that Buckhead isn't nice, it's just not nearly as urban as Beverly Hills. It's not even close.

the irony is now lost, but I was making light of Buckhead being tossed around in various circles as "Beverly Hills of the South"

It's hard to pick up on sarcasm on this forum because too often people make ridiculous statements and aren't being sarcastic at all. Unless you're familiar with the particular posters postings there is no way to know if they are being sarcastic without the emoticons.

3 people have already voted for Buckhead. Are they being sarcastic or do they really believe it to be more urban? On a forum with so many homers it's hard to know.
