It's hard to pick up on sarcasm on this forum because too often people make ridiculous statements and aren't being sarcastic at all. Unless you're familiar with the particular posters postings there is no way to know if they are being sarcastic without the emoticons.
3 people have already voted for Buckhead. Are they being sarcastic or do they really believe it to be more urban? On a forum with so many homers it's hard to know.
At first I thought this was a joke, but this actually isn't a bad comparison. The question is what does "urban" mean. If urban means foot traffic, then Beverly Hills wins hands down, especially around Rodeo Drive and Beverly Blvd. But Buckhead meets most other definitions of urban as well. It has two subway stops, a high concentration of retail in a small area, and taller buildings than Beverly Hills.

I believe BH triangle may be more compact, also there's a subway stop coming to the golden triangle as well.
And tall buildings and retail concentrations have nothing to do with urbanity. Transit, yeah, but Buckhead is overwhelmingly auto-oriented.
Yeah, but let's not pretend that a significant number of the people walking around Beverly Hills took the bus there. I've taken the bus there on several different lines and the BH stops are surprisingly not busy for such busy lines.
Directly behind Saks, Barney's Neiman Marcus and the Beverly Hills Hotel on the south side of Wilshire are these beautiful streets with nice apts and condos.

As I'm walking around Bevery Hills right now I see quite a few people standing a the bus stops. About an hour ago there were a lot of folks at bus stops especially Wilshire at La Cienaga and Wilshire and Beverly. Lots of people to work and commute to Beverly Hills like anywhere else.
