I think they're working on an NFL and NHL map too.

Though its only people who use facebook who are counted here, its still kind of telling.

North Carolina and New Mexico seem to be the most "bandwagon" states, as they have areas that cheer for both Yankees and Lakers (and Heat in case for NC) in large numbers. in addition, looking at the existing NFL map, NC seems to be full of Cowboys fans as well.

Piedmont of NC it is far and away Panthers fans. When I saw this a couple of weeks ago, I was surprised to see Eastern NC had so many Steelers and Cowboys fans. I would have thought Redskins if anything...

Ha! Look at all of New England, and then there is Fairfield County, CT. New England just pretty much fades out south and west of New Haven.

I question the accuracy of New Mexico. Yeah there are a lot of Cowboys Fans here but in Northern NM I've encountered a lot more Broncos fans, particularlyespecially in Santa Fe and Taos Counties. I wonder what the story is with all the Chicago Bears fans in Union County up in the northeast corner of the state.

I'm surprised at the Saints cover that far north in Alabama.
How were the other maps calculated? Louisiana has no team in MLB but Mississippi is lightly colored in for the Braves. Most people here are either Braves or Astros fans.

Redskins FTW!!!!

Wow, I knew the Dogboys' empire was big but not THAT big....

And lol, looks like nobody except a small part of Long Island cares about the Jets.

I'm also surprised that Eastern North Carolina doesn't have a more visible shade of Burgundy since there's a large following of Redskins fans down there, even our network/radio has decent viewership in that part of NC. Of course, the Panthers have a growing clout throughout that state, especially after last year.

Also, the other teams that hail from the DMV are the on-fire Wizards, the Nationals, DC United, and the Capitols for NBA, MLB, MLS, and NHL respectively

If you have to ask it means they are under represented on this scale (of Facebook data).
