Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington form the Northeastern Megalopolis. These 4 cities are interconnected by highways, turnpikes, airports, railroads, ports, etc. These 4 cities have been the port of entry for immigrants around the world throughout the US history. Each city has ethnic neighborhoods that adds to the Northeastern Megalopolis's diversity. Which city is the best of the four?

Its always tough to say a certain city is "best" but for me personally I would rank them:

1. NYC
2. Boston
3. DC
4. Philly

I like them all, but above would be my preference.

Baltimore and Providence should be included-I would live in either of them over Boston or DC.
As others have said though, these four are all great major cities and it's awesome how interconnected they are.

For me
1. Philadelphia
2. NYC

3. Boston/DC

NYC is clearly the power house of the northeastern cities. In every sense of the word. Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs are massive both economically and population wise...

DC/Boston and then Philly last.

You may include Baltimore as part of Washington and Providence as part of Boston.
