All of these.
Ahem, it's Daytonnati...you know, similar to the spelling of Cincinnati.
Though you won't find anyone in Cincinnati or Dayton calling it that. It's something that the suburbs between made up.

I have heard the term Metroplex used in cities other than DFW (although not common). So it's kinds of a vague term. Twin Cities is more unique and I think more well known outside of Texas.

Outside Texas, its either "DFW" or just "Dallas". The city name Dallas is more well known than "Metroplex", "Twin Cities", "Minneapolis", or "St. Paul".
Once again, Fort Worth doesn't exist, I guess.

Not surprised by this, though.

I don't know about popular, but I think the Twin Cities name is more recognized.

Again, its not playing favorites. Dallas is simply better known by name.

Which is exactly why the names "DFW" and "Metroplex" are pushed around and marketed.

Because I'm pretty sure most of you don't realize this, either, but the Ft. Worth side of the Metroplex doesn't exactly like being called "Dallas"...

Ok...

Doesnt change the fact that Dallas has the name recognition. Dont shoot the messenger.

Much to the chagrin of Fort Worth and St. Paul, to most people in the US the whole areas would be called "Dallas" and "Minneapolis.

The difference is that Minneapolis is sometimes exchanged for "Twin Cities", and a lot of people (dare I say, most) know what the Twin Cities are. "The Metroplex" on the other hand is rarely used by people around the country. I know what it is because, like most of you, I am interested in geography, but I would still call the area Dallas. DFW is equally unknown. I think most people outside Texas would have no idea what DFW or Metroplex meant. The fact that 3/4 sports teams all have the word Dallas in them does not help.

Whenever I hear "Metroplex", I always think of one of those giant, suburban, 24 screen cinemas for some reason.
