Staying power: New York

Larger ascending power: San Francisco Bay Area, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Washington-Baltimore Area, Southeast Florida.

Smaller ascending power: Denver, Seattle, San Diego, Austin, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Salt Lake City, Raleigh-Durham, Madison, San Antonio, Portland, Omaha. I guess maybe Phoenix if it can put some actual quality to it's ascension rather than mass produced generica.

Probably a resurgent Detroit Metropolis and a streaky cannon in New Orleans. I'll leave Southern Nevada (Las Vegas) and Central Florida (Orlando and Tampa) as wildcards, no concise sway one way or the other at this point.

About sums it up.

Baltimore, from the inside looking out, seems to be up & coming.

You're from the Baltimore suburbs, isn't that kind of outside looking in?

Added the ones in bold, previously had gone forgotten by accident.

More or less agreed, including the additions, but what's a "streaky cannon"?
