It was on Wikipedia. Apparently these are the cities that will/would have been hosting if the US got the 2022 WC

Here's the link: United States 2022 FIFA World Cup bid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That map makes no sense. Why would cities like Tampa Bay and Nashville host a World Cup match over Chicago?

I couldn't imagine the United States hosting the World Cup and not having Chicago be apart of it. That would be like Brazil excluding Salvador(3rd largest city) from being a host city at the World Cup. It would be a travesty.

I'm not quite sure. That strikes me as really strange. I mean, a WC in the US without our 3rd largest city?

Couldn't the US just build a new stadium like Brazil did? I'm not expecting the United States to follow Brazil and start building new stadiums, subway systems, and other infrastructure projects across the country(which doesn't sound like a bad idea) but the US should at least pony up the cash and build a new stadium for Chicago. If Brazil can spend billions on the World Cup than why not the United States?

But there's really no need to do ANY of that in this country. We're not exactly falling behind in infrastructure. And if anything as far as stadiums go, we have TOO MANY.

It seems strange for Chicago not to host. I understand why Soldier Field can't host the Super Bowl, but does the World Cup committee ask for the same things?
