Chicago's skyline is not small by anybody's standards. Highrises stretch for miles from Hyde Park all the way to the Northern suburb of Evanston. The loop isn't the only part of the city with very tall buildings.
quote but nyc strecthes way more than chicago and way more dense.
^^ I never said that Chicago's skyline was larger. Everybody knows that NYC's skyline is much larger. The only points being made against NYC's skyline is its lack of diversity.
^ What style of skyscrapers does Chicago have that New York doesn't?
It's not just about architectural styles. It's the placement of buildings, the dynamics of a skyline. The color scheme of buildings. The balance of the skyline etc.
Obviously NYC is going to have a larger skyline than Chicago seeing as it can stretch for just about as long as it desires with Manhattan. I don't think that New York is really an amazing skyline. Its cool that's its so large, but I don't think that that is the reason to vote it the best. NYC is an old city, no doubt, if it had a more modern skyline, it'd be the most amazing in the world. I personally think its over rated just because it has NYC stamped on it. If it were in Chicago, I guarantee people wouldn't find it that amazing.
NYC's skyline isn't really beautiful, its just huge
agreed, thats why always keep saying Seattle, San Fran, and Pittsburgh are my favorites. But nobody listens to me on this board. I guess I got to add Houston in there or troll to get any feedback.
