i'm sorry but that houston list has got some of the worst rappers in the business. You also forgot MTV Riff Raff.
new york has all the hip hop founders and the golden age, LA dominated the 90s, Atlanta owned the 2000s..Chicago is doing well in the late 2000s...plenty of other cities/states have more quality artists than your list i'm sorry.
Riff Raff is irrelevant in Houston. He is a gimmick and Houston knows that. To bring him up is about the same as bringing up Benzino for Boston. Houston has TONS of rappers better than the ones jluke mentioned. Just that they are all underground and that's where they prefer to be and frankly, that's where I prefer it as well. There aren't plenty of cities that can toe to toe with Houston and it's underground scene. Oh and LA didn't dominate the 90s. LA shared it with NY. LA had it from 93-96 but NY took it back and even then, NY didn't disappear off the face of the earth.

I don't care, before Mike Jones and Paul Wall went big they were both good to me.
T.I., Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, Yung Joc, Dem Franchize Boyz, Gucci Mane... the list goes on and on. I see that the poll has favored New York but New York is so damn big anyways, and Atlanta is much smaller and is still up to par if not better than New York in rap. Atlanta has had some of the the most successful rappers and some rappers not even from Atlanta associate with it or live their. My iPod is filled with Atlanta based rappers songs.

Atlanta can't even touch NY in the rap department. I'll say R&B is a better scene in Atlanta than almost anywhere else.
Houston easily have one of the best, if not the best, rap scene in the south.

New York rappers are like the founders of the genre. Atlanta is picking up where they left off. New York was then (yes they still have many good rappers), Atlanta is now.
