I'm not going to define "fast paced" since it's largely a subjective determination. Which one do you consider to be more fast-paced and why?

I'd say Atlanta. I lived in Bmore Charm City for a few years. The whole place just feels like decay, with the exception of certain pockets like Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Fells Point, maybe Charles Village around Johns Hopkins, and nearby town centers like Towson. The neighborhoods surrounding Inner Harbor are exemplary ghettos, no offense to the good residents who live there. And the gigantic Baltimore City Correctional Center right across I83 from downtown really doesn't help with the atmosphere...

Overall, Bmore just feels like a very slow and decaying city, especially when you are coming down from NYC/Philly or up from DC on Amtrak, the difference is vast.

Atlanta. Baltimore isn't doing too well, and Atlanta is better than it in most aspects.

Atlanta never struck me as a fast paced city. Seems a lot more laid back and country compared to Baltimore.
