I voted for Pittsburg. It's the city I know least about on the poll but would like to know more about. I'm guessing that since its in an area overwhelmed with large cities it's hard to get noticed. Similar to the Texas cities as they have to compete against each other for attention.

Just going down your list:

Milwaukee, Wisconsin
St. Louis, Missouri
Kansas City, Missouri
Cleveland, Ohio
Cincinnati, Ohio

Also:

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (underrated in real life, overrated on here)

The rest aren't really underrated (in my opinion), and quite a few are overrated.. Austin?????

For me the most underrated are St. Louis and Cleveland.

Always gotta be a complaint about something.. If you feel some of the cities on there don't warrant the underrated term then don't vote for them.. Quite simple.

Who is complaining? You asked this question on a forum for discussion, do you want discussion or what?

Feel the same way! I would have voted Pitt for "real life" discussion, but not really on C-D...

Haha id say the fact that 73 people have voted and the leader has 11 tells ya that the poll is pretty well done.

Philly doesn't seem as underrated to me as
Some of others on the poll- but I'm not surprised. I think Houston and especially dallas don't get nearly enough credit as they deserve. I mean Houston is 3rd in population in the USA, pretty international city, diverse, and has a great job market.
