i would have expected SF to be where Boston is & vice versa. Kind of surprised DC made the list

I saw LA is in only 1 of the other Global rankings for top 10, at 6th. But Chicago made 9th in 2 of the others and 7th in 1.

I actually would have thought Philly and Boston would be near one another in these sorts of rankings.

I think it's because it factors in many things. The Philly metro has a slightly higher GDP than does the Boston metro according to this List of U.S. metropolitan areas by GDP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . However since it considers factors like "clout" and "quality of life" Boston comes out slightly ahead I guess. I imagine if the rankings went beyond top 25 Philly wouldn't be too much further down the list.

I agree, I'm surprised Boston is ahead of DC while Philadelphia is not even listed?

Sometimes Philly is excluded from these lists altogether for being too close to NYC.
