you have a 1% minority who control most of the world's wealth and you have millions in poverty who are starving to death across the world, equality my ass
Venture Capital is funding cures for hearrt disease and cancers .Finding new ways to grow food to feed the worlds hungry and funding research on new vaccines for the worlds poor . Don't knock it , you may benefit from those capitalist's money .
Personally, I'd rather brag to people on the internet about how I'm better than them because I have six more billionaires living within 10 miles of me than they do.
Man, if I was a billionaire I'd live on my own private Island. Even if I had 20 homes, not 1 of them would be in any of those cities. Funny how people with money always seem to make such boring/conventional living decisions. Heck aside from that island I'd have a cottage in Newport, RI, a cabin in the rockies in colorado, a penthouse in Nashville, a house in Greece on the Mediterranean, and a plantation style house near Charleston, SC.

Well, I am sure you spend thousands of dollars on your kids on stuff they don't necessarily need. Why didn't you spread your wealth to those kids in poverty in third world countries?
It is easy to blame the rich for being selfish, isn't it.

Rich people are rich because they know how to safeguard their money and make good returns. Parking money in properties in alpha cities like NYC, London and Paris has always been a safe way to protect wealth. Your private island or house in SC on the other hand, is a different story.
For them, where to buy the property has nothing to do with where to live or lifestyle choice, or whether those cities are boring or not. It is exactly like buying stocks - you won't care if you like the products the company produces, but only the return it creates.
