What were the upsets? I don't necessarily think saying Albany is more picturesque than Dallas is an upset. The seeding is based on population. But the criteria for the first round didn't necessarily have anything to do with population. Last I checked Dallas wasn't in a very picturesque setting.

It's going to have some imbalance if the seeding criteria doesn't match the voting criteria. It's like being seeded for basketball but having to play bridge in the first round.

Sports town? How would a city like Vegas or Omaha even stand a chance?

How is Milwaukee more "picturesque" than Orlando, Florida?

So you're of the opinion that Orlando is more picturesque than Milwaukee and because people didn't vote how you feel, then the poll is rigged?

Judging by the categories given for each round, you knew what was going to happen.

I don't understand.... ???

OH... Maybe you THINK that I hand picked the categories and planned this out to work against/in favor of certain cities...

Nope. That's exactly why I held a voting poll for the categories. The categories were chosen by the voters. Just visit the links.
The seeding order was chosen by Wikipedia's list of most populated metro areas.

But even still, I assumed Dallas and Houston would win a first round vs their competition no matter what the category is. Really I was banking on homers to show up and vote. Guess not. Or, maybe the votes ARE right and Albany IS more picturesque than Dallas... But whatever the case, all of the outcomes are up the voters... plain & simple. Even the categories for each round.

Of course they're upsets...
Whenever a #1 seed falls to a #16 seed or a #2 seed falls to a #15 seed, it's automatically an "upset."

I'm not trying to say Dallas is more picturesque. I don't know myself actually. BUT, based on seeding, you HAVE TO call that an upset. That's just how it goes with seeding in brackets.

As a matter of fact, I took a quick look through the current results and it looks like there are more upsets in the brew! I really didn't expect some cities to be making it as far as it looks like they are going.
And unfortunately, it looks like some of my favorite cities are going down big time in this round... But I'm not surprised about them, my favorite cities don't really have good reputations here on City-Data.

Question............. Did u vote?

Well, it looks like the answer is "no" cause when I look at the results, it looks like NOBODY in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area voted... Can't be mad if you didn't vote.

And did you vote on the categories like I asked people to?
