He has a vendetta against any other Southern city.

Steve Forbes on Nashville becoming the next hub: "I think the key is if you have [the] environment where social trust can flourish, where people who want to get ahead can flourish, you don't have to worry about Atlanta, Charlotte or anybody else," Forbes said.

The fact that he even had to mention Atlanta and Charlotte says a lot LOL.

Oh please no one is "trying" to complete with Atlanta these days. Certainly not Nashville or Charlotte for the matter. Atlanta will always be the dominant city in the south but it will not have domicency over these newer cities. You can have that edge city crap but I'll take Charlottes "growing up an out" from the city core any day and our core is booming with high density development. I love Atlanta and I go for gay pride but this response makes Atlanta look very ugly.

I don't think people in southern cities outside of Atlanta feel like Atlanta dominates them or the south. I rarely think about it outside my brother lives there.

When was the last time anybody flew to Europe, South America, Asia, heck anywhere outside of the US from GSP?

How bout the last big concert you wanted to see?

Sure you have Charlotte which gives the Upstate a greater sense of independence from Atlanta but make no mistake, if Charlotte wasn't there you'd need Atlanta for a lot more of life's things.

i don't pay for live music. i can have a concert at my house or in my car anytime.

i think Greenville has everything that I need and most people need. It isn't a small city.

The airport connection in Atlanta doesn't mean atlanta dominates the south. just means they have a big airport.
