I would choose Maine but not because it's white. I just love it there. It's really beautiful and I love it in the winter.

I couldn't care less about the racial/ethnic makeup of a state; but I prefer a state or region within it, with a strong work ethic -- a place where spoiled snowflakes are quickly dismissed and expected to get a real job,

The Northeastern Pennsylvania in which I live works just fine; Central Pennsylvania as described above (if the State College Lefties and snowflakes can be similarly ignored) is a notch better.

But on a full-state basis, Nebraska, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah are top-of-the-list.
