Went to Myrtle Beach as a kid. I have fond memories of that trip.

See, and I dont even think Myrtle Bch is that great. I much prefer going to the upstate (Greenville) than a beach that reminds me of Daytona Bch. Charleston and Hilton Head, imo, are far better.

Myrtle Beach doesn't even have interstate access and I-26 is the only interstate Charleston has and it terminates at the northern, more industrial part of the peninsula.
Spartanburg has 1 building comprising the entire skyline, but it is visible from I-26 if you're heading north if you just got on by the mall.

It actually has a few buildings that comprise the skyline, but the Denny's HQ is obviously the tallest.

Another thing I do love about Orlando in comparison to similar-sized growing cities such as Greenville, is how much larger it feels than it actually is. Look at how many flight options there are from Orlando's airport. This is obviously due to Disney mostly. But I'm not sure I could live anywhere else that has a population of under 300K if it felt true to its size.

So how big does Orlando actually feel to you? The Population is smaller than most other cities with sports teams, commuter rail, and an airport that can hold 40 Million + people

I can't really say since I haven't lived there yet. But I was never considering living in other cities of Orlando's size. I need access to a large international airport, and Orlando definitely has that. I'm a big city guy. I'd be moving to a much bigger city if not Orlando.

I feel you. Because of Orlando punching well above its weight class, I've shrugged off half baked plans to move up a teir to cities like Miami and Atlanta.
