I felt like comparing 2 old-school cities with each other and 2 up-and-coming ones. So which city has the edge in:

-Cost of Living
-Nightlife
-Appearance/Aesthetics (Architectural & Natural)
-Nightlife
-Things to Do
-Quality of Life
-Location
-Transit
-Economy
-Growth
-Food
-Local Culture/Attitude

Which city takes the edge? Some categories might be a no-brainer, but others can be much closer calls, IMO.

Agree with everything but location. There is a reason why Cleveland is known as the 'best location in the nation'

I would say a tossup between St Louis and Denver for most of them.

Probably Denver since I think it's all-around one of America's finest, although St. Louis has a couple of those you might be looking for that has the edge in specific areas.

I pretty much agree with this, except for:
Location - Cleveland/St. Louis (Charlotte is too far south, although still in relatively close proximity to other cities, and Denver is just too isolated)

I live in Denver now, but am a STL native. I've visited Charlotte a bunch, but have only been to Cleveland a handful of times so my answers below probably reflect that

-Cost of Living - St. Louis
-Nightlife - Denver or Charlotte
-Appearance/Aesthetics (Architectural & Natural) - St. Louis
-Things to Do - St. Louis - tons of (FREE, top rated) museums. It depends on what you're looking for. Obviously, Denver wins if you're outdoorsy - BUT keep in mind that hikes, skiing, etc. are mostly at least an hour away
-Quality of Life - St. Louis/Charlotte
-Location - I choose Charlotte due to being close to mountains and ocean with a great airport
-Transit - Denver
-Economy - Denver/Charlotte
-Growth - Denver (way too many people and the infrastructure is not built for it)
-Food - St. Louis
-Local Culture/Attitude St. Louis
