New Orleans is often referred to as both the " Most African " city and the " Most European " city in America while Queens has demographics that are more diverse than any other county in America.
A lot of the Texas border cities feel like an extension of Mexico, but they're all small. Even El Paso, it's hard to seriously consider it a big city. But I guess we can.
I would only feel like I'm not in the U.S. if I switch on the TV and the majority of the stations are non-English speaking. Or if the US dollar is not the standard currency.
I know of no place in the United States like this.

Is your life in the USA spent watching TV
I don't know about TV but here in Miami, I get spanish advertisements on Youtube. You know the targeted advertisements based on your IP? Well my ads when I watch something on the internet are in Spanish. Not to mention many of the radio stations are in Spanish, most signs are in Spanish (Miami not Miami Beach), and I have to communicate in Spanish to 90+% of locals instead of English in Miami. I mean I literally have to, my English is way stronger, but they don't understand it. And you get better service if you speak to them in Spanish.
My experience with NYC is rather limited since I've only been there 4 times on extended weekend trips (I stayed in Harlem, the UES, Astoria, and spent most of my time in Manhattan), but it honestly never really felt un-American to me, or like I was in a different country.
Obviously there's a lot of the outer boroughs that I haven't seen, but Manhattan definitely felt American.
those people saying NYC, SF, LA etc have totally not stepped foot out of the US if they consider those cities to feel foreign just because of their racial mix, urban dynamic, etc.
