Most places other than Florida, parts of CA, and other tropical style locations have gloomy winters. TN is not exempt from that.

Most places may have gloomy winters, but they don't last very long in some places while in others they last for months. I'm pretty sure winter is much shorter and milder in Nashville than in Milwaukee.

That's true...winter is usually done on time when spring begins in late march. It's spring for about four weeks, then summer hits from May all the way through mid October. Fall, like Spring is very short here. Winter is from November through March.
