It's not that I like the cold better, 95 degrees sucks just as much 15 degrees, but I much rather have 4 seasons. Too much of one type of weather such as Florida or SoCa is just not for me.
Overall, I like the 40-50 temperature range the best. Cold Ftw

Oh, no way, 15 degrees is like heaven compared to 95!
If you assume that cold and hot are equally miserable (ie both have the same degree of misery and the same quantity of time of misery), then IMO it makes more sense to live in the cold weather city and escape in the winter:
A: more daylight hours in the summer therefore you might as well have your nice weather when it gets dark at 9PM instead of 4:30PM.
B: Christmas falls in the winter so you can cough up one of your miserable months to the holiday season when even some people who hate cold weather would say "well it can be cold on Christmas b/c it's Christmas."
C: If you're a football fan you might as well get your bad weather out of the way while you're cooped up inside a sports bar or at home watching NFL playoffs.
I prefer areas that are cold and have 4 seasons. I find weather in places like Florida to be disgusting. Plus 4 seasons gives you a wide range of outdoor activities.
I prefer areas that are warm year round. I find weather in places like New Jersey to be disgusting. Plus I can be in Shorts and a t-shirt all year.
