Yeah 26 is a little random. At 26 I was still fairly entry level out of college and probably making $50K a year. I'm over six figures now at 35 since I was able to move into those next career brackets.
I feel like your 30's is where people really pull one way or the other.
I mean you could only be making $40K to $50K in your 20's doing tons of different things, but a lot of those jobs would top out and you're still stuck in the $40K's as the decades advance, while others shoot from the $40Ks right up into the $100Ks as you move into your 30's and 40's.
