I find N.O the most interesting of the two but Vegas is a much bigger destination for the masses.

I prefer New Orleans in fact will be there in 10 days for 2 weeks. Vegas is cool to visit once but just seems to fake for my taste plus I don't casino....New Orleans is the real deal but you do have to watch where you go in The Big Easy due to high crime.

Personally, I love New Orleans and hate Vegas, so NOLA. NOLA has local charm in spades, whereas Vegas is nearly entirely charmless. Plus, I don't gamble.

For me NO in a heartbeat. More history, more character, more culture, more unique. Vegas is a bunch of casinos in a desert.
